2024
Over 30,000 burn injuries were caused by Hair Styling tools between 2013 and 2022.
The Goal of this project was to identify a common household product susceptible to safety risk, and improve/eliminate mis-use scenarios through locating the pain points and vulnerable aspects of the device.
Focal Points
Focus remained on maintaining the comforting aesthetic of hair-styling products users familiarize with, while implementing inspiring functionalities of other product industries.
Through proper understanding of the user's emotions in a 'high-risk' scenario: Tense, Anxious, Forgetful, Clumsy, Distracted; meaningful solutions can be implemented.
